Nate Diaz is asking for a fight for a longer period now. He has one fight left on his contract and apparently can’t wait to have it and get away from the UFC promotion. Now, he begged once more for his release. Will it be finally heard?
The dispute between Nate Diaz and the promotion is going on for several weeks now, going to an extent of a physical clash between Nate and the security of the UFC headquarters where he allegedly ‘took a piss’.
Nate Diaz refused the opportunity to sign a new contract for the continuation of his career in the octagon. Instead, he is about to seek a start of a new career, maybe in another sports discipline, or another promotion.
Nate Diaz has one more fight to go. Dana White had plans of matching him up with Conor McGregor, but Diaz did not accept the opportunity. Even though he did accept to fight Khamzat Chimaev or Dustin Poirier this is far from reaching fruition. It is unclear what the UFC’s plan is for him.
Nate Diaz Took The Stand Again And Demanded A Release From UFC – Give Me My Last Fight!
During the most recent appearance of the American star at a conference, he states that throughout his career he has been choosing and demanding his opponents by himself. He asked for this practice to be continued once more. One final time.
“I was trying to get this s*it on the road, but they don’t want me out of contract and they’re keeping me in there and they’re holding me hostage. And I want out. That’s my main objective here.” – Diaz says for the start of his lengthy speech on The MMA Hour.
“They’re slow-rolling me, they’re trying to keep me under contract. And I’ve been doing all I can. I’ve never asked for so many fights in my life. Even right now, they’re not letting me get in there and finish my contract.” – he adds.
“I don’t want no more money. However, I want to go do different stuff. There’s stuff out there for me to do, and I went in there and talked to them, and it’s with all due respect. You’re not going to let me go? But, I’ve just to deal with this more like I’ve been, like repeatedly trying to get the f*** out? It’s my main concern every day. I train every day. I wake up and I train and I try to figure out how to deal with it.”
Nate Diaz has several options open to him once he gets his release from the UFC. One of those options is a transition to boxing, where he would fight Jake Paul to start off his career. This move was even praised by Dana White, the UFC’s president. White admitted that fighting Jake Paul would be Nate Diaz’s best option.
Diaz says that he doesn’t need much time to prepare for his next fight. He claims that he can be ready in less than two months. The only thing remaining is just for the UFC to arrange him an opponent.
It’s nobody’s business, but now I’ve got to make it other people’s business because I need some backup here. Can somebody tell these motherf****** to get me a fight? Anybody. Anyone. My patience is over. I’m done with it. I’m done with this s*it. UFC, can I please have my last fight and be on my way? Give me anybody.” – Nate says.
“I want to fight next month. July, August at the latest, and then I want to be on my way. I’ll fight tonight. What am I going to do? I’m going to go sit in the courtroom with these fuckers? I don’t fucking do that. Let’s fucking fight and get me the hell out of here.” – he finishes his long speech.
