Kazuchika Okada knows how important every match in the G1 Climax is this year – and has every reason to be concerned about tonights match. While yes, the block is full of super heavyweights and an MMA fighter – few are more devious than Toru Yano. Despite being CHAOS stablemates, Yano will do anything to move to four points, and Okada better be ready for all the expected tricks… and more.

With a maximum of 12 points to be won in this tournament, losing even a single match could derail the entire tournament. This is what makes Yano so dangerous tonight. However, he’s never been able to defeat Okada – the only top name in NJPW who has avoided the fate of being Yano’d. Could that change tonight?

    Toru Yano Is Serious Tonight

Yano would walk to the ring with a more serious look on his face, and a bottle of Sake in hand. He was seemingly going back to his early days in CHAOS, where it was less about jokes and more about being a violent bruiser. Yano might have recognized tricks won’t work on Okada, but is going serious against The Rainmaker a good idea either? That remains to be seen.

Yano would attack before the bell, and choked Okada with the T-Shirt. Referee would call for the bell, and then asked Yano to stop choking him. Okada would recover, and throw him to the floor – before being thrown into the barricade. Yano hit a chair off the back of Okada, before taking some downward elbow strikes.

Okada would set up Yano in the chair with some forearm smashes, before the dropkick was blocked by a drop toehold. Yano nearly got the countout win, but Okada made the ring at 19. Corner pad would be removed, and Okada was thrown back first into the steel cables. Yano would choke Okada with the wrist tape, but the referee would catch on.

Kazuchika Okada Yanked Into Deep Violent Waters By Toru Yano

Okada would put the brakes on before being run into the corner a second time, before getting the neckbreaker on Yano. A DDT would follow, before Okada took the Manhattan Drop and was catapulted into the exposed corner. Demon Killer Powerbomb was blocked, before Okada hit the Air Raid Crash style neckbreaker instead.

Rainmaker Pose would be struck, but Yano would hit the Demon Killer Powerbomb for a near fall. Steel chair was brought into the ring, and Yano would shove the referee down. He intended to powerbomb Okada onto the steel chair, but instead took a DDT onto the chair.

Okada would look for the rainmaker, but got a face full of Sake mist, before being rolled up for a two count. Yano would go for the low blow, but Okada blocked before hitting a dropkick. Rainmaker would miss, and Okada would instead hit the backbreaker into Money Clip in the middle of the ring – forcing the submission.

Will Yano remain this violent through the G1? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
