Bishamon are in different blocks this year in the G1 Climax, but tonight they link up with fellow CHAOS member Toru Yano to face familar foes in House of Torture here tonight. Hirooki Goto is riding high after a huge win over Tetsuya Naito, while YOSHI-HASHI just got one with the fight of his life against Shingo Takagi. However, EVIL, Dick Togo & SHO will not be giving anyone a night off tonight.
CHAOS Beats Down Dick Togo On The Way To Victory
In a shock to no one who has ever watched a NJPW show, House of Torture attacked before the bell. EVIL would look for the staff of Goto, but was stopped by the referee – before a hip toss into elbow drop. He’d even fling YOSHI-HASHI onto EVIL, before they beat Dick like pros.
YOSHI-HASHI would be pulled to the floor, and chucked into the barricade by SHO. EVIL would keep the pressure on in the ring, before Dick would lose the control. Yano would go after him, slapping him upside the head. Yano would be thrown into an exposed corner, but Goto would be able to make the save on the pinfall.
Yano would punch Dick in his namesake and roll him up for the three count. Another standard match from these factions, always nice to see House of Torture take the loss. EVIL will start G1 action soon in C block, while Yujiro Takahashi faces ELP later tonight in the D-Block.
Tom Lawlor Is Ready For The Jean-1, King Of Jorts – KENTA Tears Into Him
Chase Owens & KENTA are two of the more vicious members of BULLET CLUB, and tonight they will need to be on the top of their game as they face down Team Filthy. Tom Lawlor has yet to make his start in the G1 Climax this year, and neither KENTA or Owens will join him in the A-Block. However, alongside Royce Isaacs tonight – Lawlor will get a chance to test the legendary KENTA in the ring – which might help him kick into high gear as the G1 Climax continues.
Owens would kick things off with Isaacs, quickly getting driven into the corner letting Lawlor into the ring. He’d fling Owens across the ring, before KENTA would run a distraction – allowing Owens to hit one of those C-Triggers. KENTA held Team Filthy in place, for Owens to hit a split leg wrecking ball dropkick.
Isaacs would stand and strike with KENTA, hitting a basement dropkick before a big suplex. Lawlor & KENTA would finally meet in the ring, with some knee strikes and the headlock driver landing on KENTA.
He’d almost end up in Game Over, but found the bottom rope before hitting a spinning wheel kick. Isaacs hit the Pumphandle Powerslam, before a jackhammer on Owens for the two count. Two C-Triggers and the Package Piledriver would follow, and this match was over.
TMDK Just Needed To Get BUSHI Alone
TMDK might be regretting only sending JONAH & Bad Dude Tito to Japan, as tonight they face down Los Ingobernables De Japon. JONAH won’t face Shingo Takagi in block action this year, but these two heavy hitters could tear the ring down here tonight in a simple tag team match. Shingo will be backed up by BUSHI, and would be wise to keep him away from The Top Dog.
JONAH & Shingo would kick off with a test of strength – but things looked even. They’d test shoulder tackles, but got a whole lot of nothing. Tito got the tag, and would be nailed with the snap DDT. BUSHI would get the neckbreaker for a two count, before Tito would punch him in the face. JONAH & Tito would hit a double shoulder tackle, before ripping his shirt to shreds.
Shingo would hit the suplex on JONAH, but was not able to get the body slam – JONAH falling on top of him. BUSHI would hit the ring to help, but JONAH ran them both down with a lariat. Tito would dive onto Shingo, and in the ring BUSHI was left alone with JONAH. Black Forest Bomb quickly followed, and it was over.
