Hiroshi Tanahashi will soon reignite his rivalry with Zack Sabre Jr, but tonight they meet in simple and low stakes trio action – just pride on the line. Tanahashi is bringing CHAOS members Kazuchika Okada & YOSHI-HASHI, while ZSJ brings his Dangerous Tekkers partner Taichi, and TAKA Michinoku. Whenever Okada & Tanahashi team up is a big deal, previously the greatest of rivals – but The Dream Team has never meshed as well as they could in tag team action.
Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahahshi & YOSHI-HASHI Prove To Be SOlid Trio
Tanahahsi would kick things off against another old rival in ZSJ, and ZSJ would get his kind of encounter – quickly grabbing the limbs of Tanahashi into submissions. ZSJ would turn this into a pinfall, and Tanahahsi would kick out at two. Tanahashi would respond with a heavy strike to the ribcage, knowing that’s a weak point on ZSJ right now.
Springboard crossbody would be avoided, before ZSJ hit the Hammerlock Armbreaker. Taichi would take a more straight-forward approach to Tanahashi, stomping him into the corner. TAKA would get the face rake with the boot, before ZSJ was back into the ring. Tanahashi would catch a kick into the Dragon Screw, but that was countered the first time – but not the second time.
Okada would get the tag alongside Taichi, and would run him down with a back elbow before a quick DDT for the two count. Kawada Style Kicks would land from Taichi, before an enziguri to the shoulder. Dangerous Backdrop would be blocked, before Okada hit the big boot.
YOSHI-HASHI would get the tag, and TAKA would poke him in the eyes. Big boot would follow, and the knee strike would lead into the JUST Face Lock. YOSHI-HASHI would get free and nail the lariat, and would be able to get the three count.
All Hell Breaks Loose In Eight Man Tag
Whenever you get Los Ingobernables De Japon all in the ring for an eight man tag team match, you know things about to pick up. Tonight, with only Hiromu Takahashi missing – L.I.J will step into the ring against BULLET CLUB. El Phantasmo, Gedo, Bad Luck Fale, and Jay White are all on hand – a fight is about to go down.
SANADA would look to kick things off against Jay White, and a pose off had the crowd in Korakuen Hall hot. White would end up in the Paradise Lock, before SANADA let him go – and tagged in Naito. Some elbow strikes to White in the corner would follow, before Fale & Gedo would work together to squish Naito. ELP would get some strikes in on the floor, before a massive back rake in the ring.
Shingo would meet ELP in the ring with a body slam and jumping senton, before White ran in and took a facebuster. Sliding elbow strike would be dodged, before ELP hit a springboard crossbody. Enziguri would follow, but Shingo caught ELP with the pop up Death Valley Driver.
Gedo would take the rewind kick from BUSHI before all hell broke loose. Fale & ELP would meet each other on the floor after Shingo dumped them out, and Gedo was cut down with a dropkick from Naito. MX would land, and BUSHI gets the pinfall.
