Paddy Pimblet is one of the most active UFC fighters on social media. He uses it daily and expresses his views on various topics through it. Furthermore, he will not back up from long-row conversations or disputes with other users. His fiery personality often goes to the verge of an explosion and he even has invited several of the people he argues with for a fight in his gym.
As he prepares to fight Jordan Leavitt tonight in London, Twitter suspends his account. And this is barely the first time that such a thing occurs. He had his accounts locked several times before this. His Instagram and Facebook accounts were also suspended at the beginning of the year. At the time he threatened Mark Zuckerberg that he will ‘punch his head in’, and declared he will be exclusively on Twitter. What will he do now when Twitter locked his account as well.
Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett Got His Twitter Account Suspended Hours Before His UFC Return
I’m going to punch your head in, I am sick of you.” – Paddy says to Zuckerberg. “Sick of you shutting my Instagram accounts down when all I do is help charities and help people with mental health problems.”
“The hypocritical nature of Instagram and Facebook is just disgusting, and what they get away with. It kills me. Mark Zuckerberg’s a lizard. I’ve got to be a lot smarter on my social media, because as you know, I’ve had two accounts taken off me now, and the second account had 120,000 followers.” – he adds.
Paddy is easily irritable, but he says he cannot help it. Various people come at him on social media and provoke him, so he gladly invites them to his address to fight.
“I can’t help it, it’s just one of those things. People say ‘oh you shouldn’t give them your time’ but I’ll use to Twitter to pass time. Do you think I just sit there in my room thinking about Jordan Leavitt? I don’t know need to, I’m going to punch his head in any way.” – Paddy says.
“It’s crazy the amount of abuse I get on Twitter, it used to be Instagram but that’s boiled down a bit. I love putting trolls in their places. Once a day there’s always a horrible fella calling scousers’ victims and saying it’s ‘never their fault’. They know what they’re talking about, it’s a Hillsborough jibe.”
He claims that the world is full of ‘weak’ people now, hiding behind keyboards. But they are not aware of one thing, that they can get a beating in reality. They just need to get in a dispute with one right guy who is willing to do it.
“Like Mike Tyson says, people think with social media that you don’t get beating anymore. What you say on the internet you can get punched in the face for, simple as.”
