Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a massive row with the Royal family in their final engagement prior to their exit in 2020.
Harry And Meghan Had Huge Bust Up During Last Royal Engagement-‘Kate Had Blanked The Sussexes And William’s Greeting Was Cold’
That is according to Royal author Tom Bower in his book entitled ‘Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors.’ It is alleged that this incident had taken place in and amongst the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey.
But things took a turn for the worse after the couple were allegedly informed that they were not allowed to accompany the family procession at Westminster Abbey.
That naturally did not go down very well, and it is important to remember that this happened prior to the controversial Oprah Winfrey interview airing.
In his book, Tom wrote: “Although the order of service listed Harry and Meghan walking behind the Queen, Palace officials had revised their decision.
“Suspicious about the Sussexes they decided to publicly humiliate them…he and Meghan would sit and wait with the congregation.”
That is one thing, but an entirely different matter when it comes to creating a rift with other members of the Royal family. And this is precisely what happened, as Tom claimed that Prince William and Kate Middleton were hardly welcoming.
And at a time where the Royal family was going to go through a significant period of change, it would have made more sense to have a cordial relationship with Harry and Meghan. And yet, it was anything but that.
Tom added: “William had not offered a brotherly welcome and Kate was outright distant towards her sister-in-law…Kate had blanked the Sussexes and William’s greeting was cold.
“Harry looked strained. Meghan’s face showed bemusement.” This may explain why there was such a frosty reception between the parties during Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
William had allegedly refused to make eye contact with his brother during the ‘Service of Thanksgiving.’ And who knows to what lengths this feud will go to. So there you have it folks.
