That is according to Royal expert Neil Sean. Lilibet has already become a talking point, as relations between the couple and the Royals continue to sour. This was most recently seen during the pair’s return to the UK for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.
Reports indicated that the monarch banned the two from taking pictures of her meeting with Lilibet. Not only that, but Prince William and Kate Middleton had turned down the opportunity to attend Lilibet’s birthday.
To make matters even more difficult, reports stressed that the leaking of Charles’ meeting with Lilibet had been done intentionally in order to prevent scrutiny being subjected on his Qatari cash scandal.
And all of this does not look good when it comes to Lilibet. In his comments, Neil said: “According to that good source, it appears that both Harry and Meghan feel that their daughter is going to be re-written out of history.”
Nevertheless, it is quite telling that Harry and Meghan have continued to plough on regardless of what is going on in the background.
Following reports that the Queen had prevented them from taking a picture of her meeting with Lilibet, the duo released a picture of their daughter. And that timing was designed to show that they were not going to be put off by the treatment they were subjected to.
Neil added: “The fact that they decided to release that picture of their daughter to the world was simply a kickback to say, ‘here she is, this is what you’re missing out on.”
The fans on social media resonated with Neil’s comments. A certain subset of people were of the view that the Royal family were punishing a child simply because they did not have good relations with Harry and Meghan.
