Rumours resurfaced this year that William had been unfaithful with the Duchess of Cambridge by hooking up with her best friend.
These claims were corroborated by journalist Alex Tiffin, who had claimed the following: “I know about the affair, everyone knows about the affair.”
With that being said, it is alleged that Kate decided to confront Rose immediately in order to substantiate if anything had happened. A source stated the following: “It was very emotional.
“Rose denied it, and Kate ultimately decided to move past the scandal.” Nevertheless, those comments have to be read in light of the following factors.
First of all, the rumours continued to persist. And unfortunately for William, the Royal family’s prior track record does not make for good reading.
Prince Charles had allegedly been unfaithful with Princess Diana by getting with Duchess Camilla. While that does not necessarily mean that William would do the same, it does demonstrate that things happen behind closed doors.
Secondly, despite William apparently denying doing anything wrong, it appears that Kate was not convinced. The source added: “Kate wants to believe him, but the rumors just won’t die out, so she’s going to pay Rose another visit.
“She can’t become hysterical when she confronts Rose again.” And this was the sentiment being expressed on social media. A certain subset of people were adamant that William had been unfaithful with Kate.
With that being said, this may explain why the couple very rarely share any public displays of affection. One person wrote: “Yes,this is true,” while another person stated: “Yes. He did!”
If these claims continue to persist, there is a danger that the marriage could end up coming under severe scrutiny. And if that does happen, will it be able to last? Time will tell. So there you have it folks.
