Apollo Crews is perhaps the best athlete on the NXT brand, but perhaps is the key word. Giovanni Vinci would claim that he could not only match the skills of Crews, but also easily surpass them. He wasn’t dressed to compete last week, but this week will step into the ring and prove he’s the best pure athlete on the brand.
Before this match, we’d see Roxanne Perez attacked in the parking lot. She’s set to face Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Championship in the main event tonight. The NXT parking lot remains the most dangerous place in all of WWE.
Xyon Quinn Hands Giovanni Vinci A Massive Win
Crews & Vinci would lock up hard in the middle of the ring, with Vinci moving into a takedown for a one count. Vinci would grab a headlock, before Crews broke free. Some heavy strikes would be followed by an attempt at a scoop slam, before Crews slipped free. Vinci would run him down with a shoulder tackle, before trading chops with Crews.

Crews would win out and leapfrog Vinci before nailing a picture perfect dropkick. The blockbuster from the middle rope would get a two count, but put Crews into control. Vinci would ensure this didn’t last, taking Crews down to the floor and slamming him into the barricade. Back into the ring, Vinci would hit a stalling neckbreaker in the middle of the ring.
Vinci would toss Crews into the corner, before hotshotting him on the top rope. A back elbow smash to the face would keep the punishment coming, before applying a front headlock. Crews would break free with a toss – before blocking a springboard crossbody with a dropkick.
Vinci would be dropped with a set of lariats, before Crews nailed the Stinger Splash and a German Suplex. He’d be taken to Suplex City, before Crews would look to launch Vinci into the powerbomb. Vinci would be able to block, before nailing a lariat.
Crews would be caught into a brainbuster after a dive from the top rope – but Vinci only got a two count. Last Ride powerbomb would be blocked, before Crews hit the Enziguri and launched Vinci into the powerbomb – but was unable to make the cover. On the floor, Xyon Quinn would get a cheap shot in on Crews after coming from the crowd, and fed Crews to Vinci for the Last Ride finish.
Cora Jade Has A Promise For Toxic Attraction
Following this, we’d catch up with Cora Jade. There was no update on the status of Perez, but she didn’t see the attack. However, this has Toxic Attraction written all over it. They were angry over losing the tag team titles, and Rose was scared her reign would end. If Perez can’t make the main event – Jade promises hell will be raised.
