Billy Gunn is beyond sick of the lack of success from his sons in the AEW tag team division. He’s been able to get them title shots, but Austin & Colton Gunn failed to get results. Hell, he’s considering going back to running with The Acclaimed – after they stuffed his sons in a dumpster and shoved them off the stage. If they want him to remain in his corner, they need to get wins – and they need to get dominant wins. After beating Beardhausen on AEW Rampage, Billy booked them another match – and tonight they have Varisity Blondes in tag team action.
Jon Moxley & CM Punk Can’t Be Kept Apart – Chris Jericho Needs Answers
Before this match, we’d see Tony Nese set to hit the ring – only for Moxley to run him down from behind. Moxley called for Punk to hit the ring tonight and unify the damn belts – he’s sick of waiting, and is always ready to compete. Punk would hit the ring with security close behind to stop him – and we’d get another big brawl. These two can’t be kept apart, and AEW might need to do this match before All Out.
Backstage, Chris Jericho would call for Daniel Garcia to meet him face to face. He needs to know which side he’s on, after the conclusion of his match with Bryan Danielson – where there was some clear respect. Ricky Steamboat hit the scene, and would say that Garcia is the better potential mentor – before throat punching Angelo Parker.
Austin & Colton Gunn Turn On Billy Gunn
Colton Gunn would start fast with Griff Garrison, and just nailed Colt-45 for the win. Billy Gunn would say that’s what he’s been looking for. He’s finally proud of his sons, and said that this is a proud moment in his career. Finally, there was order in the Gunn family, before Stokely Hathaway would hit the ramp.
Austin & Colton would attack their father from behind, at the wishes of Stokely Hathaway – and The Acclaimed would make the save! It’s not every day you see a father taken down by his sons. Just absolute disrespect, and one likely funded by Stokely offering some more money. The Acclaimed would call for Daddy Ass to scissor them, and he’d rather treat Caster & Bowens like his sons.
