Out of all the talent released from WWE over the past few years, a few names truly stood out as massive mistakes on the part of WWE. While a lot of focus comes with Bray Wyatt, another baffling choice was releasing former WWE Universal Champion, Braun Strowman. After giving him a clean win over Goldberg, WWE dumped him to the side during the pandemic – while he was still in the main event scene in WWE. However, after a quiet run on the indies – The Monster Amongst Men might be finding his way back to WWE.
WWE Is Discussing Bringing Braun Strowman Back
A report from Fightful Select would indicate that there has been internal discussions in WWE on bringing Strowman back to the roster. Given how many names WWE have been bringing back the likes of Dexter Luimis, Karrion Kross, and Johnny Gargno back to the company – there’s no doubt they want to bring back the former main event stars in the company.
The Fiend could be back as soon as this weekend in Cardiff – but Strowman could be a work in progress. His presence will be greatly appreciated on the roster, which is sorely lacking in main event level stars.
Control Your Narrative Is Proving To Be A Flop
This is interesting for another reason, as it follows the quietest invasion in professional wrestling history. At NWA 74, Control Your Narrative would invade the show after the main event, which saw Trevor Murdoch defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Tryus. This garnered so little attention, that most wrestling fans didn’t even know NWA 74 happened – let alone coming along with an invasion.
It shows exactly how lacking in hype the Control Your Narrivate promotion has become, and could well be a wake up moment for the likes of Strowman & EC3 as to this promotion killing their careers. It’s likely a coincidence that the news of Strowman potentially making a WWE return comes just after this – but it must have been a wake up call for everyone else in the promotion. Losing Strowman would kill any chances this promotion has of ever gaining hype.
