On August 22’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Edge, Trish Stratus, and Kevin Owens had a great night as their wins and moments got the arena rocking as they were three of the loudest moments of the night.
While Trish teasing an in ring return made some headlines during the show, more news that has taken social media by storm came after the show ended and Judgement Day was backed off from continuing their attack on Edge following his victory over Damian Priest.
Beth Phoenix coming to his aid with a steel chair to hold them off was the perfect ending as it set up future confrontations, but after the show there were some more fireworks.

Retiring in Toronto in August 2023
After Raw, Edge took to the mic to address his home town and his wrestling journey he hopes to end in Toronto in 2023. Special thanks to the Wresting Observer for the full transcript.
“30 years ago… July 1, 1992, I had my first wrestling match as Adam Copeland. Sexton Hardcastle was later. And I knew, I knew one day, I’d be standing right here for all of you, I just knew it.
“What I didn’t dream of is that I would have to retire for nine years and fight, fight with every fiber of my being to get this back. And all of you are the reason for that. This is a reciprocal relationship.
“I just stood toe-to-toe with one of the best talents, and the future of this industry, Damian Priest. And I can’t wait to do it some more.
“And I can’t wait to come back, hopefully, one last time, one last time here in Toronto.
“I’m looking at the calendar, and we usually come here in August. So next August, I plan on seeing each and every one of you. And in a perfect world, we all say goodbye to each other that night. Hey, but that’s okay man, this is the place for me to do it, okay?
“I mean this when I say it: I love all of you. In case you missed it, I love being Canadian. And you know I have to do this, I would be remiss — Go Leafs Go, Go Leafs Go, Go Leafs Go, Go Leafs Go.”
It seems like only yesterday he debuted in the WWE and shared how he was at WrestleMania 6 and watching Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior from ringside, and now he holds a spot as one of WWE’s most loved Superstars.
One more run?
Since his surprise return at 2020’s Royal Rumble, Edge has rekindled a fire in the WWE fanbase that had been all but extinguished since his first retirement due to injury.
He’s given us a good run, but there’s one thing missing — a title reign.
While Edge has said he considers himself a designated hitter to fill in wherever he’s needed to put whomever he’s working with over, we hope there’s going to be plans to send him off right.
We have no doubt Triple H will give him another run if he wants it, but in the end it’ll come down to Edge and if he feels he should have another championship for himself and the fans.
To be honest, he should’ve won against Roman Reigns, but we’ll have to wait and see what the fates have in store for him.
