Former Star Of ‘The Voice’ Wendy Moten Opens Up On Recovering From Her Stage Fall-‘I’m Hoping Everything Gets Back To Normal Soon’
The 57-year-old made a name for herself when she appeared on the 21st season. But this was for all the wrong reasons, as her mentor Blake Shelton was left to deal with a rather embarrassing moment.
It is alleged that she had tripped on a floor monitor. This caused her to fall down during which she broke several bones. As a result, the singer had to undergo extensive rehabilitation in order to make sure that she could get back to her usual self.
This included attending the physio three times a week. But 10 months later, she has still been plagued by those issues which has left her in disbelief.
In an interview with People magazine, Wendy said: “I’ve never been broken before. And so, it’s a new experience, but I remind myself that there are people dealing with far more serious things. I’ll be OK. I’ll just keep working at it.”
Despite the positive outlook, there is no denying that Wendy did have a terrible time. She expanded on how she had to have titanium put inside her arm, so that her elbow and arm could remain intact.
That was naturally a significant part of the procedure, especially since she is a singer, who has to be in control of the microphone. But through it all, she has vowed to come back a lot stronger.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “Right now, my elbow is still crooked, and my fingers are crooked.
“But with the occupational therapy and the physical therapy I’m currently undergoing, I’m hoping everything gets back to normal soon.”
Wendy has shown a lot of courage in speaking out about her ordeal, and her story will inspire others that they have to overcome obstacles of any form if they want to make it in the music industry.
