Jake Paul thinks that he is untouchable by any of the UFC fighters because he won twice over the ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley.
He is sure that a fight between him and Nate Diaz would end up by him knocking out Diaz in the first rounds. But Diaz is not the only one that Jake Paul has called out. Jorge Gamebred Masvidal, Conor McGregor, and Anderson Silva are just a few of the hand full of fighters he had been provoking to step in the boxing ring with him.
Jake Paul Responds To ‘Goofy’ Fight Insult By Nate Diaz
From all of the fighters mentioned above, a fight against Nate Diaz seemed like the most plausible. However, it may all turn to nothing now when Nate referred to a fight against him as ‘goofy’.
Nate Diaz’s release from the UFC will follow after his following fight. His contract is at an end with one fight remaining to go. After his last contract fight, he will receive his long-requested freedom. However, what will he do with it, remains unknown.
Diaz will fight Khamzat Chimaev on September 11th at the T-mobile arena in Las Vegas. This fight receives criticism from many for being a ‘suicide mission’ for Nate due to the completely different fighting styles. Khamzat Chimaev is considered to be one of the most dangerous fighters in the promotion currently. He is 11-0 and until his last bout, he had received fewer hits than he had fights. Meaning he dominates his opponents on a great scale.
We all were thinking that when Nate Diaz gets out, a Jake Paul fight would be amongst his top choices. However, according to Dana White, that’s not going to happen.
“I don’t know if Diaz will fight Paul.” – White says for Yahoo Sports. “He said, ‘I would never do that.’ That’s what he said to me. He said, ‘That s***’s goofy.’ I don’t know. That’s what he said to me.”
Since then, Jake Paul has responded to the claims.
“It is what it is. He is saying that because I knocked out his UFC champion and knocked out Ben Askren, who was a big star at one point in the UFC.” – Paul responds.
“He is doing anything he can to discredit me but I can beat every single person in the UFC in a boxing match at my weight class, which would be about 170-175lb. Kamaru Usman, Masvidal, Nate Diaz – all of these guys I would beat, all of them in boxing. They are just doing that and he is saying that just to discredit it as a ‘corny’ fight”
