Prince Harry and Prince William will reportedly not work together to remember their mother, Princess Diana, in the run-up to the 25th anniversary of her death.
Harry And William Will Not Commemorate Their Mother’s 25th Anniversary Together
Diana’s death in a tragic car accident in Paris greatly affected the brothers which has been well documented.
But since their relationship has been at an all-time low ever since Harry left the Royal Family in 2020, which was characterised by the controversial Oprah Winfrey interview, the two brothers have not been on the best of terms.
While Harry did attend Prince Philip’s funeral and walked alongside William with Kate Middleton acting as a mediator, the fact of the matter is that this did not change things.
William had reportedly refused to make eye contact with his brother during Harry’s appearance at the ‘Service of Thanksgiving’ at the Platinum Jubilee.
With that being said, the two brothers will mark the anniversary “privately and separately.”
Although remembering Diana will be at the top of everyone’s priorities, there is no denying that this is not what she would have wanted.
Her two sons have fallen out and cannot seem to put behind their differences for the sake of such an important event. A
And given that Harry is expected to visit the UK in September, this could have provided an opportunity for the brothers to collaborate on something prior to the anniversary on 31st August.
The fans on social media were disappointed by this revelation. And in the process of doing so, they lamented that things had gotten to this stage.
One person wrote: “It’s very sad their relationship has broken down like this. We all fight with siblings and have disagreements.
“But siblings are generally the only people in your life who will be with you from childhood to old age.” Ultimately, the two brothers have to do what is best for them.
