Since signing with AEW, many have wondered what has kept Samoa Joe from wrestling as often as fans would hope. Despite being ROH World Television Champion and making the finals of the Owen Hart Memorial Cup, Joe has been used sparingly in AEW – and lately this has been due to him filming the upcoming Twisted Metal show. With filming having wrapped, Joe could be back on his way to an AEW ring very soon.
Could Samoa Joe Be The Joker In The Upcoming Casino Battle Royale?
This is potentially excellent timing for Samoa Joe, having been away from AEW TV long enough to ensure that when his music hits – people will go nuts. The Casino Battle Royale is set for All Out on Sunday evening, and that comes with The Joker slot. While some fans are hoping that MJF returns to AEW with a fury at the event in that spot – jumping to the AEW World Championship, Samoa Joe is just as likely.
Joe vs. Moxley would be a big match, and could even set up a bigger feud with the Blackpool Combat Club for Samoa Joe. Right now, Bryan Danielson is the only member of the faction without gold, and Samoa Joe holding the ROH World Television Championship could draw the attention of The American Dragon. Danielson will face Chris Jericho this Sunday at All Out, in a match being billed as The American Dragon vs. Lionheart.
Provided The Body For Sweet Tooth In TV Series Based On Horror Vehicle Combat Game Series
When it comes to the Twisted Metal show, Samoa Joe provided the body for the iconic villain of the series “Sweet Tooth”, with Bojack Horseman’s Will Arnet providing the voice for the character. This series is shaping up nicely, and could fill the void left in horror gamers viewing schedules with the cancellation of the Netflix Resident Evil show.
This show will air on the Peacock streaming service, which is where most fans in the United States watch WWE content – making this the return of Samoa Joe to Peacock. It’s expected to launch in 2023.
