Tesla’s CEO and SpaceX founder Elon Musk is the wealthiest man in the world. As such, you’d expect him to be a ‘fan’ of a luxurious lifestyle, however, you’d be very wrong. Most recently, the billionaire has moved to a three-bedroom house in Texas. He even converted the garage into a bedroom, to create more ‘usable space’.
While on the Full Send Podcast, the billionaire opened up to Kyle Foregard and confessed that he tries to get away from the large mansions and luxurious houses with 100 bedrooms. He prefers to live modestly. That’s why he currently lives in his small house in Boca Chica, in South Texas.

He reveals that the place is actually a two-bedroom house, however, after converting the garage into a third bedroom, he expanded the usable space.
Elon Musk is a workaholic. As such he spends much of his day in the office. He confesses that sometimes he even doesn’t go back home. Furthermore, Musk finds big places distracting. And in his line of work, the focus is everything. Working on innovations and complex problems requires great concentration and the ability to focus.
His companies are pioneers in several fields. While Tesla is a pioneer in the electric automobile industry, SpaceX is in the exploration of space and development of more sustainable and reusable rockets. Furthermore, the Boring company is set to create a net of tunnels below the USA with one purpose – to make traveling faster and easier.
Musk is currently in a lawsuit between him and the social media giant Twitter. He bid to obtain the social media back in April when the stock market price was at its highest. Since then, he came across several obstacles in closing the deal. One of them, the deal-breaking one is the issue with bots and spam accounts on the platform.
Is Elon Musk a philanthropist? What is the reason behind this modest lifestyle he is pushing? No. The move to a small house is solely to benefit his work.
Musk spoke about various topics while on the podcast. He told how smoking marijuana with Joe Rogan caused him problems with his businesses, and how now he is a subject of regular drug tests performed on him by the FBI. He reflected on his father’s interview where he states that he is not proud of him and he spoke about Twitter and the takeover of the social media.
