Vince McMahon still makes headlines after retiring from the WWE, and it’s something that probably won’t change in the near future. He’s meant too much to many of us after giving us so many awesome memories.
In this case, it’s mainly a positive one as he celebrated turning 77 on August 24, 2002, and he went to New York City’s Waverly Inn restaurant on a double date with John Cena and his wife Shay Shariatzadeh.
TMZ spotted them at the restaurant, and for the record the woman with Vince was his wife Linda. According to reports, the pair have been separated for years.

It looks like Vince had more company than initially reported as Brock Lesnar and Pat McAfee were photographed outside the restaurant.
While it’s impossible to know if Vince kept the gathering small by choice or not, but it’s been well documented that the three joining Vince have a good relationship with him.
In short, they’re Vince’s guys. Cena and Lesnar and two of the biggest names in wrestling in large part to Vince’s efforts in the WWE, and McAfee has been a favorite due to his near inexhaustible energy.

Lesnar talked about his relationship with Vince on the Pat McAfee Show, as well as the respect he has for UFC President Dana White.
“Vince and I have had a love/hate relationship for the last 20 years, but it’s been good, we’ve got a lot of water under the bridge. I’ve got a lot of respect for both men. But dealing with Dana, it’s a totally different business approach.”
It’s complicated
What makes Lesnar’s relationship with Vince peculiar at the moment is in part to the recent allegations that have surfaced following the Board’s investigation.
Lesnar’s wife, Sable, filed a $110 million lawsuit against the WWE in 1999 alleging sexual harassment, unsafe working conditions, and steroid abuse.
Sable and the WWE settled out of court for an unnamed sum, and Torrie Wilson said she was banned from naming Sable during her 2019 WWE Hall of Fame speech, and it’s not hard to imagine it was because of Sable’s lawsuit.
It’s been over twenty years since the allegations and Jim Ross dismissed it as her attempt to get released by the WWE on his podcast Grilling With Jr.
Given how Lesnar has continued to work with the WWE and has remained on good terms with Vince, it appears that lawsuit may be water under the bridge for the most part.
