In recent episodes, it was discovered that Jovi and Yara and Mrs. Gwen had a falling out. Fans loved Gwen when she appeared on season 8 and they couldn’t get enough of her. However, in this season, the sassy grandma has not see her son and his family in months. Jovi was upset at his mom when he found out that she had not seen Yara when he was away at work, but on a boat trip, the family managed to settle their issues. The couple had expected Gwen to actively take care of their baby, Mylah.

However, Gwen asserted, “I love being a grandmother, but I’m nobody’s nanny.” Yara said on the show that her mother-in-law turned out to be a “different grandmother than I expect her to be.” The mother of one had hoped her mother-in-law would “every single day will come, take the kids, will go with them somewhere.”
However it seems Redditors are on Gwen’s side. u/greengoddess831 started a thread, where one fan argued,“it is not Miss Gwen’s responsibility to provide care for the child. Gwen should be able to enjoy visits and time with the grandchild when she has time. But it should never be an expectation.” Others thought Jovi and Yara were being unreasonable. Someone said, “Gwen deserves to have boundaries and her own life.”
Some other commenters said that Yara shouldn’t have moved so far from Gwen if she wanted her help. So many people even referred to Yara’s past, when she accused Gwen of being overbearing about the way she was raising Mylah. Some fans also asked why the duo wouldn’t just hire a nanny if they needed help.
After all, they are doing well financially. However, some commenters thought the couple handled the situation maturely as they admitted that they made assumptions and expressed a desire to communicate better in the future.
Yara confessed, “I probably expect Mrs. Gwen to be the same like my mom…which was not smart for myself because all the people are different.” Jovi also apologized for the way he behaved. Fans are hoping the family will be able to communicate and resolve issues better after this.
