With rumors swirling about Bray Wyatt returning to the WWE and Wyatt himself has dropped some possible hints by refollowing the WWE on social media.
To add further possibilities to this, there has been a mysterious figure backstage. All we’ve seen is an arm or hand, and on a recent WWE Smackdown when JBL appeared to pick up Happy Corbin in his limo, someone wearing what looks like the Fiend’s coat opened a production truck door and watched it unfold.

It’s a reach, but it does give evidence that we could be seeing a slow burn return of Bray Wyatt. If this is true, then we expect him to haunt the backstage area with his antics becoming more and more serious.
It makes sense since he’s reportedly still working on his movie and it could fit his schedule better.
But is it Wyatt and is he returning to the WWE? That’s a good question as he’s in demand and it’s been reported that Freddie Prinze Jr. made a significant offer to Wyatt to join his fledgling promotion.
Prinze making his move?
A couple of months back, Freddie announced that he’s in the process of launching his own wrestling company and he has enough funding for three years.
Because of that, it makes sense he’d want a top name to help draw fans to his company, and the fact that Wyatt’s extremely talented and intelligent would be added bonuses
Fightful Select reported that Wyatt received an offer to work for a “startup wrestling company” and that the offer was serious but they hadn’t heard if Wyatt accepted the offer or not.
Nothing has been confirmed, but Fightful said it was heavily implied that the company was Freddie’s and that AEW had some interest in Wyatt.
Freddie has also stated on his podcast that Wyatt is the last great attraction in pro wrestling and there’s something magical about him.
Possible return to the WWE
Despite Freddie’s optimism, many believe the WWE is the frontrunner for Wyatt’s return due to the familiarity with the people and process there, and with Triple H running creative there are bound to be fewer arguments over the direction of creative.
Butting head with Vince McMahon over WWE Creative about his character was reported as the main reason for Wyatt’s release on July 31, 2021.
It was doubtful Wyatt would’ve returned to the WWE with Vince in charge, but Triple H has changed the culture and he’s spoken highly of Wyatt before and said he loved working with him.
Only time will tell where Wyatt goes, and we can’t wait to see if he’s the secret man in the backstage area at WWE shows.
Do you think Wyatt will join Freddie Prinze Jr. or has he already rejoined the WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
