King Charles III’s biggest threat will be to deal with the influence that showbiz has on the perception of the Royal Family.
King Charles III Has To Deal With ‘The Crown’ TV Series-‘It Will Portray King Charles As A Sadistic, Cheating Monster,’ Says Commentator Clemmie Moodie
That is according to commentator Clemmie Moodie. This claim centres around the premiere of the 5th season of ‘The Crown’ on Netflix.
It is set to air on Wednesday, 9th November 2022. The season will explore the breakdown in marriage between King Charles III and the late Princess Diana.
And given that it has just been the 25th anniversary since her death, coupled with the fact that Charles has had to take over the throne following the passing of the late Queen Elizabeth II, it is vital that he starts things off with a positive perception on his reputation.
In her comments, Clemmie said: “Now, with all the sensitivity of root canal surgery, Netflix has announced the release date for its fifth series of The Crown — a month after the Queen’s death.
“It will portray King Charles as a sadistic, cheating monster.” Even if Charles manages to survive the series, he still has another challenge to face. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s lucrative deal with Netflix includes a docuseries.
Therefore, there is a possibility that the Sussexes will disclose more revelations or include footage that could be compromising towards the firm.
Since the Sussexes do not have the best relations with the royals as of yet, who knows how they will approach this series.
Clemmie’s following comments confirmed as much: “Netflix, and Meghan and Harry, are busy writing their own narratives — some more fictionalised than others.
“Their collective recollections may vary, but the damage they may yet wield remains potent.” Ultimately, Charles faces a mammoth task either way. He is stepping into the shoes of the longest serving British monarch of all time.
And that would be extremely difficult for anyone, let alone Charles who has not been the most popular royal member. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
