One of the most pleasant surprises in professional wrestling this year came in the form of Logan Paul. At both WrestleMania & SummerSlam within WWE, the internet megastar showed some insane skills within the ring. He claimed the win at WrestleMania alongside The Miz, before defeating the former two time WWE Champion in singles action at SummerSlam. There’s more to come from Paul in WWE – and Kofi Kingston is one of many who noticed his potential.
Kofi Kingston Things Logan Paul Has Been Very Impressive In WWE So Far
While speaking with TMZ, the former WWE Champion and member of The New Day faction would be asked about the success of Paul thus far. Kofi Kingston would be quoted saying the following.
“To me, it just makes sense. When you think about how popular Logan Paul is and even his entire story. His come-up and what he’s been able to do in the world of boxing and entertainment in general, it would only make sense for us to be hand in glove. He has a bright future ahead of him. To see what he did in the ring is very impressive. Especially as a performer who has seen a lot of people and has gone through the whole learning process, he shouldn’t be that good, that quickly.”
Logan Paul To Challenge For Undisputed WWE Universal Championship?
There has been chatter about Logan Paul getting a main event match against Roman Reigns at their upcoming event in Saudi Arabia. With viable full time contenders for the dominant champion becoming more and more sparse, and the uncanny popularity of Paul in WWE – a short program with Reigns and a main event clash. Reigns was recent;y a guest on the Impaulsive podcast – where Paul noted he studied the likes of Reigns in preparation for entering the ring. Paul was quoted saying the following.
“I feel I’m trying to learn those things. I’m watching guys like you, I’m watching Brock Lesnar, a lot of John Cena, Stone Cold, doing my research and trying to get as versed as I can in this industry, but it is hard. I don’t have the luxury of time on my side. I’m here. I watched a video of John Cena watching an old match of his and it’s really interesting now, in hindsight, that he has the knowledge that he has, to critique his performance. It was his first performance ever. He was just watching the crowd, he was barely watching the moves, the physicality. It’s all about the crowd. I just came to the realization, I think WWE is harder than boxing. It’s a mental torment to consider the crowd, the moves, everything all at once. It’s absurd.”
