Ahead of Jake Paul’s next fight Mike Tyson paid a visit to his gym and watched his spar. He watched him for 30 seconds before having enough and leaving the gym.
We’ve all heard the rumors that a fight between Mike Tyson and the Youtube star Jake Paul might be cooking. However, Mike Tyson seems to be already retired. Recently he had some health complications and as the public saw him riding in a wheelchair the picture was clear. He most probably is not getting back into the ring. The exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr in 2020 is the last fight in his career.
Mike Tyson Couldn’t Stand Watching Jake Paul Spar For More Than 30 Seconds
Tyson shared a few good words about Jake Paul in the recent period, however, after visiting his gym he most probably changed his mind. He appeared at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card gym in Los Angeles he saw Jake Paul spar and left in a matter of seconds.
“Tyson looked at him and left.” – Freddie Roach revealed. “He saw 30 seconds of him sparring and said, ‘Freddie, can we go down and see the pictures?’. Tyson knows that’s where the good pictures are. He wasn’t as interested as I was.”
Freddie pushed the ex-heavyweight champion further by asking him how would he rate Jake Paul and what he thinks of him.
“The kid’s OK, a club fighter… I don’t know him personally and I’ve never really met him. He was in my gym and wondered if they could use the ring and I said go ahead.”
Jake Paul is now preparing for his next fight. A fight that critics consider to be his toughest fight until now. Jake Paul will face the MMA legend Anderson Silva next month and will need to show real skills in order to win this one.
Until now, Jake Paul has fought five opponents and came out victorious in all of the fights. However, he has been criticized for not fighting professional boxers. He continues his tradition of fighting an MMA fighter, however, it is a bit different this time. Silva has boxing experience and is one of Dana White‘s favorite fighters.
Anderson Silva has a record of 3-1 as a boxer and comes from a win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
“Anderson Silva is the most versatile fighter the world has ever seen.” – Jake Paul said of his opponent. “Just a year ago he outclassed boxing champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, and showed the world why he is often referred to as the greatest fighter of all time. Every expert, from MMA to boxing, has said Jake Paul won’t fight Anderson Silva. They said Jake Paul is afraid of Anderson Silva, and Jake Paul would lose to Anderson Silva. Well, to all the non-believers – Jake Paul is fighting Anderson Silva. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to share the ring with the greatest UFC striker of all time.”
