Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could have been a force for good for the Royal Family.
Harry And Meghan Could Have Been ‘Absolute Jewels In The Crown Of The Royal Family,’ Says Royal Expert Jennie Bond
That is according to royal expert Jennie Bond. Prior to their exit in 2020, there were very high hopes for the couple. Meghan was a biracial member of the institution, with suggestions that this could have created a more diverse and inclusive environment.
And yet, the opposite ended up happening as shown by her accusations post the royal exit. Meghan claimed that someone in the Royal Family had expressed reservations about her son Archie’s skin color, meanwhile, another accusation of racism was made with her interview in ‘The Cut.’
That is when Markle suggested that someone in the media had referred to her son with the n-word. And all of this has now damaged what could have been.
In her comments, Jennie said: “[They could have been] the absolute jewels in the crown of the royal family, [but the] element of trust has evaporated.”
One of the primary reasons that has resulted in Meghan’s recent criticism was the timing of revelations. The fact that the bombshells dropped on the eve of the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death were hard for people to take.
Not only that, but Meghan’s cover shoot for ‘The Cut’ had parallels with clothing that Diana would wear. And all of this was seen as rubbing salt into the wounds.
Jennie’s following comments confirmed as much: “I’m not sure Diana would truly have liked her. I don’t know. Diana was a much bigger person. She was, I would think, a much kinder person.”
The fans on social media were equally dissatisfied with Meghan’s recent conduct. And in the process, they bashed the Duchess of Sussex. One person wrote: “Meg[h]an Markle is such a liar, does she really believe her own Lies?”
Who knows that could have happened if Meghan’s time with the royals had played out differently. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
