The comments were made when the Duke of Sussex came alongside his wife, Meghan Markle, Prince William and Kate Middleton, as the ‘Fab Four’ reunited to pay their respects for the late monarch.
And as part of that process, Harry was very interactive with the crowd. During one such interaction, Harry was alleged to have told someone the following: “[It’s] a lonely place up there now without her.
“Whichever room she was in, you felt her presence throughout.” This was a huge step for the public, as it demonstrated that they were capable of showing unity following such a terrible ordeal.
And yet, for all the positivity, it is not exactly clear if this is going to lead to a full reconciliation. The body language on show demonstrated that there were tensions between Meghan and Kate, as shown by the lack of interaction.
Whereas William and Harry were seen conversing with each other even if it was for the sake of their late grandmother. But in any event, that was still appreciated by those connected to the royals.
A source confirmed the following: “We are all very grateful – both sides putting all things aside for the Queen.” The fans on social media were not too impressed with Harry’s comments.
This was on the basis that they felt he had not done enough in order to see the late monarch during the last couple of years. Therefore, he was not in a position to be able to say such a thing.
One person wrote: “How would he know he’s seen her for about an hour altogether in the last 2 years,” while another person stated: “He must feel such guilt for not making more of an effort to see her.
“If it wasn’t for the jubilee she wouldn’t have seen his son in more than two years and would never have met his daughter.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
