Grimes, better known as Elon Musk’s ex, made a pretty bizarre confession on Twitter. She said that her music career is not profitable enough, so she can afford a house in Austin, Texas.
Grimes lately thought about the problem with the real estate prices. Out of frustration at the market prices, she decided to take on social media. As a result, she ended up calling out her followers to join her on a petition signing that she would start – against rising house prices in Texas.
Grimes Confesses She Couldn’t Afford A House In Austin Without Elon Musk’s Help
“My fellow Texans! Petitions can feel useless but I guarantee local politicians are taking these seriously.” – The singer wrote on Twitter on Monday 26th. “Plz sign to reduce housing costs in Austin. There’s effective legislation on the table here but we need public support.”
Most probably, Grimes had only good intentions entering the conversation about housing prices. However, the Twitterati did not accept this as she would hope so. They accused her of getting into something that doesn’t apply to her. Twitter criticized her for petitioning for things that do not affect her at all.
We all know that Elon Musk, her ex-boyfriend and father of her two children, is by far the wealthiest man in the world. According to Forbes, the billionaire tops the chart with a net worth of $260 Billion.
“Grimes you are set, your opinion on ‘the housing market’ is invalid.” – one Twitter user noticed and replied to her tweet about starting the poll.
However, it didn’t take long for the mother of Elon Musk’s children to reply to it shutting off her critics.
“First of all I couldn’t afford to buy a house that fits my kids in Austin atm without help from their dad. Which is INSANE cuz I’m a pretty successful artist.” – Grimes explained. “Secondly, these aren’t my opinions, I’ve just agreed to help out some actual experts/ policy makers.” The critic didn’t back down as well and held his ground by noticing the obvious once more.
“That’s what I’m meaning, their dad will help. You’re set.” – he re-phrased his initial Tweet. In the end, it is Elon Musk’s obligation to provide a good life for his children. And providing them a nice place to live – when he obviously would not even feel the expense – is the least that he can do.
Finally, Elon Musk recently revealed that his children are not the only ones that seek his financial support. He and his brother Kimbal had been financially supporting his father for more than 30 years.
