Joe Rogan Announces The Start Of Sober October - Will He Be Able To Endure 1 Month Without Weed?

Joe Rogan is a very active person. Active and extreme. His followers know that he is training on daily basis. He is a combat sports fanatic, cold plunge lover, and an extreme dietitian. Today, the 1st of October, Joe Rogan announced the start of the ‘Sober October’. A whole month where he will need to consume healthy food only, train every day, not drink alcohol, and most importantly not consume any kind of drugs. Will he be able to resist it?

People that follow Joe Rogan’s Spotify podcast know that he is very passionate about weed and whiskey. So passionate, that he moved to a state where weed is legal, so he can occasionally pass a joint with his podcast guests.

Joe Rogan Announces The Start Of Sober October – Will He Be Able To Endure 1 Month Without Weed?

Regardless of Joe Rogan’s vices, he is an extremely active and healthy-looking individual. As such, more and more fitness enthusiasts are following him on social media and following his work. Joe Rogan is a person that is always up to trying something new when it comes to training or diet. In the past he has experience with many different diets, workout regimes, and even different sports.

The latest challenge that he is attempting to follow is ‘Sober October’. Allegedly, he is not the only one that is trying this. He agreed with several of his close friends that they will all try to endure one month of living as healthy as possible.

The challenge includes avoiding alcohol, drugs, and junk food in complete, training every day, and burning more than 500 calories by working out each day.

Joe Rogan revealed that Sober October is not about just losing weight or stopping a certain activity. It is a sort of competition between himself and his friends. The one that will improve his form the most wins the competition.

The UFC commentator told his podcast guest that the last time he entered the Sober October, he pushed himself as much as possible to win the competition. Amongst other things, the podcaster revealed that at one point he did cardio for 7 straight hours. On average cardio burns about 500 calories an hour if it is intense enough. So on that particular day, Rogan spent more than 3500 calories in one sitting. That is nothing less than impressive.

“One must workout every day, one must burn 500 calories in a workout every single day.” – Joe Rogan explained his fitness fanatic mindset. “Seven days a week, 365 days.”

Not sure how his habit of smoking weed copes with his otherwise healthy lifestyle. Doesn’t it affect his physique?
