Messy Kanye West attended his YZY fashion show wearing a ‘White Lives Matter’ T-shirt. A slogan linked to the American white supremacists in the Ku Klux Klan. Not only that he put himself into the fire once more and attracted a ton of criticism, but he dragged the granddaughter of the legendary music star Bob Marly in it as well.
Selah Marley is the granddaughter of the iconic reggae star Bob Marley and the daughter of the singer Lauryn Hill. Kanye West chose her to be the one that will help him with the YZY fashion new line of clothing. Allegedly, she is the one that came out with the idea to create a sweatshirt with the slogan.

The slogan was present all over his fashion show. Models wore clothes with the slogan, and the public saw this as a provocation. As a pure mocking of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement.
The Black Lives Matter Movement is ‘soaked’ in the blood of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Eric Garner. The movement has been ‘founded’ in 2013. Its purpose is to eradicate white supremacy and to stop violence inflicted on people of the black community. However, Selah Marley seems to lack respect for the victims, as well as for the founders and supporters of the movement.
Bob Marley’s granddaughter Selah posted a video on social media, talking and laughing with the R&B star Kanye West while wearing one of her designer shirts with the controversial slogan.
Salah Marley captioned the first video ‘Love you Kanye West’. After this, she posted two more videos showing the young black woman wearing a shirt with ‘White Lives Matter’ written on it.
Salah Marley’s obsession with Kanye West is not something new. It began back in 2017 when Salah Marley was modeling for Beyonce’s activewear line Ivy Park SS17. Amongst other things, she described the controversial Kanye West as her role model.
“He’s been through a lot of persecution in the media and by people, but it doesn’t stop him from being who he is.” – Salah Marley told at a conference back in 2017.
Kanye West is siding with the minority of black people in the USA, as he is distancing himself from mainstream black politics. He is usually showing support for the Republican wing in the USA. For example, he supports ex-USA President Donald Trump.
“You don’t have to agree with Trump. But the mob can’t make me not love him.” – Kanye West shared in a tweet not long ago. “I still got a red hat on today, I’ll let y’all know that. I might not get it on right now, but I’ll let y’all know where I stand with it.”
