The artist included a 20-minute documentary about the Act laws in Puerto Rico in addition to the video where he attacks everyone who takes advantage of the tax regulations in the country. In the documentary, the journalist speaks about the transformation of Puerto Rico because of Act 20 and Act 22 laws. According to Bad Bunny, foreign citizens, such as Logan Paul, migrate to Puerto Rico because of one reason only – to skip taxes. Foreigners take advantage of Act 22 and manage to bypass paying taxes.
Bad Bunny’s words enraged Logan Paul, the video documentary pushed a lot of criticism on him. People suddenly became aware of the Act laws in Puerto Rico. Logan Paul receives criticism for bypassing the taxes that he should to pay.
In a recent interview with Philip DeFranco, he tries to deflect some of this criticism by saying that Bad Bunny is taking advantage of the same Acts. He called the reggaeton artist a hypocrite for taking advantage of the same acts.
Logan Paul told that the Puerto Rican artist is “privately taking advantage of the same tax program that he is publicly condemning.”
However, fans and followers of Bad Bunny started massively supporting him. With the claims, Logan Paul made he only drew even more criticism on himself. The Youtube star mentioned that he wants to help the island. However, his criticizing Bad Bunny gained him more haters than followers.
“So, I see this music video that has stuck me in the middle of it; the context that makes me look like a vulture in Puerto Rico is surrounding it.” – Logan Paul explained. “Again, while I love Bad Bunny, I cannot personally support the hypocritical nature of his exploitation.”
There is no official statement from Bad Bunny on the situation. However, fans already claimed that he, as a native Puerto Rican, is not taking advantage of Act 22.
