2023 has been a big year in the career of Ricochet. Since being signed to WWE, Ricochet has been a steady midcard name, a proven workhorse that WWE can rely upon for a great match at any time.
This brought him onto the card for SummerSlam 2023, where he took Logan Paul to his limits in a fast paced opening match. With Triple H at the helm of WWE creative, Ricochet could be fast approaching his peak years in the company.
Ricochet Is Coming To His Peak In WWE
On the latest edition of Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast – the 2x WWE Hall of Famer would speak about Ricochet during his SummerSlam recap, and how he’s quickly improving in WWE and finding what works for him. Booker had the following to say.
“I must give Ricochet a lot of props because I’ll tell you right now, I seen a lot of growth in Ricochet. He’s coming into his peak. He’s actually now beginning to really start to understand what this thing is truly all about, and I can see it on Ricochet. Almost just like Finn Balor. I saw Finn Balor grow over these last seven years into something totally different than he was seven years ago. Was he better than he is now as far as athletically, his body in better shape? Of course, I would say that, 100%. But is he so much smarter in there, as well as knowing what to use and when to use it and how to use it, now opposed to then, so much better? Of course he is. So for me, I love the growth in Ricochet as well. He’s on his way. He’s a touch away from actually being at that point where I need him to be, but Ricochet is definitely on the come-up.”
Ricochet came into WWE as a top level worker, but lacked the ability to pace himself in terms of TV matches. That and his promo skills have held him back, but he’s been putting in the work – and it’s been paying off.
