Netflix is behind the decision to delay Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s docuseries.
Netflix Behind Harry And Meghan’s Decision To Delay Docuseries-Says Royal Expert Neil Sean
That is according to royal expert Neil Sean. The initial speculation had been that the couple were seeking to make changes to their content in order to reflect the fact that Queen Elizabeth II had died recently.
While that may have been the case, it seems that there is something else at play. It is claimed that the couple do not have enough content at their disposal to make something worthwhile. With that being said, Netflix may have taken things in their own hands.
In his comments, Neil said: “On this docuseries, a very good source told me that the bottom line is that there just isn’t enough content.
“You have the Invictus Games in the Netherlands, a bit of footage in New York…It has nothing to do with claims that they are trying to cut unsavoury remarks about King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla.”
If those comments are taken to be true, then they are very significant for the following reasons. First of all, it demonstrates that the couple need to rebrand themselves as a credible alternative to the Royal Family.
That way, they would have enough substance to get the docuseries out. Secondly, there is also a suggestion that the docuseries could be scrapped.
After all, there is no guarantee that there will be sufficient content. Not only that, but even if it is not scrapped, the hype surrounding it could die down if it is delayed further.
The fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter. A certain subset felt that Netflix could end up pulling the plug on the whole project.
One person wrote: “I think Netflix will drop them once the new series of The Crown of Netflix will air that they’ll pull the docuseries. It’ll be a bore fest. Will be interesting to see how they’ll pay back the advance.”
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
