Prince William and Prince Harry’s former nanny has found a new job.
William and Harry’s Former Nanny Has New Venture Knitting Socks
Alexandra Pettifer, otherwise known as Tiggy Legge-Bourke, had the fortune of doing something that few people can dream of. And yet, her new profession is the last thing that you would expect to see.
She has taken it upon herself to have a new venture in the form of knitting wooly socks. And as part of that process, they will be auctioned off in order to raise funds for charity.
The cause in question is to allow research to be undertaken, which will hopefully prevent salmon from being reduced in the rivers of Scotland.
King Charles III will aid her cause, as the auction will be undertaken via the new monarch’s charity, Atlantic Salmon Trust. If this is something that you fancy putting your support behind, then have a look at the following photo.
In the image here, we can see the woollen products. The blue beanie and light-coloured socks will make a perfect accessory for this winter.
In an official statement on behalf of Atlantic Salmon Trust, a representative said the following: “The AST’s very own Tiggy Pettifer will knit you a bespoke pair of his and hers wading socks.
“This year with an added beanie hat! A most coveted item, get your bids in fast.” And based on the previous outcome of the auction, it appears that the demand is very high indeed. It is alleged that one such pair of socks sold for over $1000 dollars.
Although this may partly be because it is a charitable initiative, the fact of the matter is that the quality may speak for itself too. As of now, the highest bid is not quite there yet.
The following comments confirmed as much: “To date, the highest bid stands at £500.” So what are you waiting for? If you like what you read, support this cause.
So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
