According to reports, there were claims that the Duke of Sussex’s memoir could single out Camilla for criticism. After all, she was involved in an affair with Charles that resulted in the breakdown of the family unit.
The divorce with Princess Diana was finalised 1996, after which she died in a tragic car accident a year later. But in order to show just how much unity there was between Charles and Camilla, Buckingham Palace shared the following post.
In the picture here, we can see Charles and Camilla sitting next to each other. They have massive smiles on their faces and could not look any happier.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “The Queen Consort supports her husband, The King, in carrying out his work and duties as Sovereign.”
Much in the same way, Harry and Meghan recently released a portrait photo of the pair at the One Young World Summit.
In the following image, the couple are holding hands together which demonstrates that they are united despite their poor relations with the royals.
And it also reinforces the notion set by King Charles III when he made it absolutely clear that he wishes the couple the best with their lives ‘overseas’ during his first speech to the nation.
The fans on social media were delighted to see Charles and Camilla looking well. A certain subset of people felt this was exactly the type of unity that was needed to aid the transition between Queen Elizabeth II and the current monarch.
And in the process of doing so, they wished them well. One person wrote: “It’s so refreshing to see the laughter. I am curious to know what the HRH King Charles III and Queen Camilla are really laughing about.”
