According to reports, her son was just 23-years-old which made the incident all the more horrifying. It is alleged that Brentt was taken to hospital as soon as possible once it became clear that there was something wrong.
As a result, he apparently spent numerous days in hospital before being released. He is now in rehab in the hope that he can make a recovery as soon as possible.
This begs the question: what could have led to this? Well, NeNe already made it clear that her son does not consume any alcohol or drugs. In addition, he underwent extensive testing in order to determine the root cause of the problem.
This included being tested for things such as HIV. Although Brentt has been released from hospital, there are still some worries. NeNe admitted that he is struggling to communicate, as he has issues with talking.
With that being said, it has been a very hard experience. In her comments, NeNe said: “Two weeks ago today Brentt had congested heart failure and a stroke. He’s only 23 so he’s really young for something like that to happen to him.”
This was the last thing that NeNe needed in her life, given the problems that she has encountered with those close to her. She had the unfortunate experience of losing her late husband, Gregg Leakes, after his extensive battle with colon cancer.
And given that he is Brentt’s father, that has made her son’s illness even harder to take. The fans on social media came out in droves to wish NeNe’s son well. And as a result, they sent some very warm words. One person wrote: “Prayers lifted for Brentt.”
