The issues between Finn Balor & Edge will come to an end here tonight. They’ve both been leaders of The Judgement Day, with Balor booting out Edge and putting him on the shelf. Tonight, one of these men will have to face the embarrassment of uttering the words “I Quit” – which is the only way this one will end. Edge is no stranger to this match type, while it will be Balor’s first time in an I Quit match. Many have tried to make Edge quit, but this is a man who came back from retirement more powerful than ever – meaning it won’t be easy to take him down tonight.
Edge Takes This Fight With Finn Balor Into The Stands
Judgement Day was not in the corner of Balor as he hit the ring tonight, but everyone knew they would not be far. Edge would force Balor into the corner with a forearm to the face – before whipping him hard into the corner. Balor would hit a shotgun dropkick to the knee, and would focus in on the knee with a stomp in the ropes. He’d ask the ref to bring the microphone in – but Edge wasn’t quitting this early in a match.
A figure four leg lock would be applied, but Edge would be able to reverse the pressure. Balor would be taken to the floor, but Edge would be the one finding his face slammed off the announce table. Edge would drive Balor through the barricade, and took this fight into the crowd. Balor would be beaten down – but he wasn’t ready to quit.
Edge would apply a crossface using a hockey stick, but Balor was able to fight his way free. Balor would be flapjacked into concrete. Edge would take a moment to soak in the crowd, and was shoved crotch first into the guardrail on the stairs. Balor would take this one back to the ringside area, but Edge would refuse to quit after being whacked into the mat with a steel chair.
Here Comes The Calvary
Balor would look to apply the crossface in the ring, but Edge was able to fight free. He’d drive Balor face first into a chair set up in the corner – before going after the knee of Balor. Edgeucator would be applied – but before Balor would quit, Damien Priest hit the ring to help him out. Mysterio would help get Balor on the apron, where Edge would run him down with a spear.
Rhea Ripley would handcuff Edge to the top rope, and Judgement Day would swarm him in a four on one beatdown. The numbers edge always was in the corner of Balor, and a kendo stick would meet the back. Rey Mysterio would hit the ring with a steel chair in hand, trying to even the odds. Balor & Priest were taken down, but he’d be punched in the face by his son.
With Rey down, Balor would go back to Edge with that kendo stick, before Beth Phoenix would be the one to make the save. Ripley came face to face with Beth, and Ripley was dropped with a spear. She’d get the key to the handcuffs, and would free Edge from the ropes.
The Rated R Superstar Makes The Comeback
Edge nailed a spear of Priest, before going after Mysterio with a low blow. Balor hit the slingblade, but Edge came back with a spear. The second would land, and the third. Balor was all but broken in half, and Beth was asked to get some chairs.
The chair was snapped and Edge looked to use a metal strut for the crossface. Ripley knocked out Beth with brass knuckles, and Priest hit South Of Heaven. Three Coup De Graces would land, and Edge would be asked to say the words – but instead “Go To Hell” came out.
Rhea would threaten to hit a Con-Chair-To on Beth, and that was what finally made him say ‘I Quit’. Balor gets the win, with a major assist to Judgement Day – and Ripley swung down anyways.
Will Edge look for his revenge after this attack to Beth? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
