Wardlow is a fighting champion, as is tradition with the TNT Championship. After shutting down the likes of Matt Taven & Brian Cage, Wardlow is looking for this next challenger. Easiest way to have someone step up is to put out an open challenge – and that’s just what Wardlow did tonight. Ari Daivari would accept the match – and offered a bribe, saying that for the TNT Championship – he can have the Trust Butler, Jeeves Kay!
Wardlow Gets Stabbed In The Back By Samoa Joe
With Samoa Joe in his corner, Wardlow would hit the ring. He’s got a 19 match win streak – and it seems like his next big challenger is Powerhouse Hobbs – who has attacked in recent weeks. Ari Daivari would keep a confident face, before Kay was thrown from the ring – the bribe denied.
Wardlow would nail a stiff headbutt to the face of Daivari, before hauling him back to his feet for the wind up lariat. The Symphony would be struck, with the first powerbomb following. A second would follow, with Wardlow soaking in the crowd chanting his name. The third was quickly followed by a fourth, and Daivari was pinned with a single boot.
Daivari would be kicked from the ring, and Wardlow demanded Powerhouse Hobbs comes to the ring right now. The music of Hobbs would hit, and he’d say they’re going to do this on his time. Wardlow is glad to have a suitable opponent for his championship, but maybe the suitable opponent was behind him.
Samoa Joe would smack Wardlow with the ROH World Television Championship, before choking him out. A message was sent to not overlook Joe, and this is the end of the WarJoe alliance. Hobbs would claim that he’ll take Joe down too, and this situation just got very interesting.
Saraya Is Cleared
Ever since arriving in AEW, there’s been one question put towards Saraya – are you cleared to wrestle. Last week, she let everyone know that it’s looking positive, but she needs the opinion of one more doctor before making a clear answer. Tonight, she comes face to face with recent rival Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D for an in-ring interview. With Full Gear so close, it’s looking more and more likely that either Saraya will wrestle Baker at the PPV, or has something else big up her sleeve.
Saraya would start, having something she wanted to say to everyone. She would say that she got the MRI’s, X-Rays, and CT Scans – and unfortunately for Britt Baker – she’s 100% cleared. AEW is officially her house, but Baker would ask if she still knows how to do this. Since the day she arrived in AEW, Saraya has leached off the popularity of Baker.
Baker built this house into a fortress, that has ex-Superstars like Saraya looking for relevancy, and trying to call it her house. Saraya has not laid a single brick, while Baker is everything Saraya wishes she could have been. She left her house, and walked into Bakers house without an appointment.
Saraya would try to imply that Baker was handed her position, while she was born into this industry. She’s wrestled Madison Square Garden, Tokyo Dome and the O2 – yet finds no respect. Saraya battled her drug addiction publically, and gave her neck for this business. At Full Gear, we get the comeback story and the biggest match of Baker’s career – as they go one on one.
Will Saraya win in her return match? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
