Reports indicated that the two were dating following their respective splits. Pete, for his part, parted ways with his ex Kim Kardashian after dating her for around 9 months.
Meanwhile, Emily left her ex Sebastian Bear-McClard on the grounds that he had been unfaithful. Subsequently, she filed for divorce which ended any hopes of a reconciliation.
With that being said, Emily trolled her fans when she liked the following tweet from Dionne Warwick, who suggested that her new lover was Pete: “I will be dating Pete Davidson next.”
This was very telling since Emily’s conduct did not deny whether or not the rumours connecting her with Davidson were true. In addition, it adds further to the speculation that they are together in light of previous sources.
One such source suggested that they had been introduced to each other via a mutual friend. Thereafter, they had apparently gotten to know each other over the course of some months which has now led to a potential romance.
A source confirmed the following: “Pete and Emily have been talking for a couple months now. [It is] in the very early stages, but both really like each other. Pete makes Emily laugh and he loves how intelligent she is.”
The fans on social media were shocked at the prospect of Davidson getting together with Emily. This was simply on the basis that the pair were not seen as an ideal couple, whilst others could not fathom how Pete managed to continue hooking up with very high profile people.
One person wrote: “NO WAY.” As long as the pair are happy, then who are we to question otherwise. And that is the most important thing to remember moving forward regardless of what others may have to say about it all.
