Kanye West has his moments when he appears extremely controversial. But, he somehow manages to get out of those moments, or at least take advantage of them as much as possible. That is the case with his newest controversy – the White Lives Matter fashion show.
The fashion show gained massive criticism from all spheres. However, it appears that Kanye West got what he sought. He is in the headlines once again. In addition, there are some ‘colleagues’ of his who just want to hop on the controversy train with him. P Diddy seems like one of them.
P Diddy Defends Kanye West About The ‘White Lives Matter’ Fashion Show And Says He Is Not Provoked By It
Kanye West is a ‘world-class’ provoker. He deliberately makes controversial moves just to annoy certain groups of people. Sometimes even to annoy everybody. If you might ask why the answer is because that’s how he gets his publicity. And as it has been already proven – there is no such thing as bad publicity.
Kanye West is not just attacking the ‘Black Lives Matter’ organization, but he completely misses the point of how ‘regular people’ use the slogan. The drama that he caused with the ‘White Lives Matter’ fashion show is just a provocation to everybody, so he can get his publicity.
P Diddy is a friend and supporter of the controversial Kanye West. And people initially thought that he has his back this time as well. He made a statement that he is not provoked by the ‘White Lives Matter’ t-shirts. P Diddy called Kanye West a ‘super, super free thinker and convinced the public that Kanye’s messages are ‘misconstrued’. However, he then took to Instagram once more to address this and clear the air explaining his views on the matter.
“I am not about to be addressing every last thing that’s going on in the world on the internet but the thing I do have to address is this ‘white lives matter’ t-shirt. I’ve always been there and I will always support my brother Kanye as a freethinker.” – P Diddy said in the Instagram video post. “But the ‘white lives matter’ t-shirt, I don’t rock with it, you know what I’m saying? I’m not with it. Right now all America has planned for us is poverty, incarceration, and death. So before I can get to any other lives matter-which all lives matter-that Black Lives Matter, don’t play with it. Don’t wear the shirt and don’t buy the shirt. Don’t play with the shirt. It’s not a joke.”
For those that didn’t know, Kanye West was in a car accident long before he rose to fame with his rap career. That event left him with consequences that he is suffering even today. His personality changed and his whole public persona experienced a major switch.
Yet, Kanye West is extremely good at gaining attention. And as long as we keep on putting attention to his provocations, he will continue to spread his controversial ideas.
