Ramona Singer has revealed that she will not be appearing on “The Real Housewives of New York City” any longer.
RHONY: Ramona Singer Will Not Appear On The Show Any Longer-‘It’s Not For Me’
The star had been a mainstay member of the show after having appeared on 13 seasons. While that may have been the case, it seems that Ramona was not too keen on the direction of where the show was going.
The network recently announced that they wanted to rebrand the cast by including a “legacy” version of the show. This would involve bringing back some of the earlier members of the show.
Ramona was apparently seen as someone who could be included in that, but it all allegedly changed when she trashed the idea. With that being said, Ramona has said her goodbyes.
In her comments, she said: “I do not want to do the show any longer. It’s not for me at this time.” Nevertheless, there is still plenty to look forward to for the following reasons.
First of all, reports suggest that several OG members of the franchise are being considered: Kelly Bensimon, Jill Zarin and Dorinda Medley to name a few. Secondly, Ramona’s comments made it clear that the show was not for her now.
This may suggest that she may reconsider her position later down the line, or at the very least, provide an exact reason as to why she has decided not to continue with the franchise.
Regardless of what the case may be, the fans on social media made their position very clear. A significant proportion of the fanbase felt that this was a massive loss for the show.
And in the process of doing so, things would never be the same again. One person wrote: “She didn’t carry it. She was the glue. Without her this cast will feel hollow.”
With Ramona leaving, the fans will have to turn their attention to the other housewives for some much-needed entertainment. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
