As is customary whenever the WWE is going overseas for a pay-per-view, they show a prerecorded episode of Smackdown since the logistics are extremely difficult at best.
So, as the title suggests, these are the spoilers for tonight’s show. So if you don’t want to know what’s going to happen, then this is the perfect time to close the browser.
This is the last warning. Turn back while you can.
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!
The WWE taped tonight’s WWE Smackdown last week at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri and it’ll air tonight on FOX with the crew and talent traveling to Saudi Arabia for tomorrow’s Crown Jewel pay-per-view.
Liv Morgan will defeated Sonya Deville in a no disqualification match. The WWE’s women’s division will continue their push into more extreme matches as Morgan will win with a springboard facebuster after being powerbombed onto a pile of chairs and kicking out.
LA Knight will trigger Ricochet when he flirts with ring announcer Samantha Irvin, and he’ll win the ensuing match after rolling up Ricochet and using the ropes for leverage.
Following a promo between the Usos and New Day, the Brawling Brutes will attack the Usos. Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa will come to their aid and the Bloodline will win the day.
Shayna Baszler w/Ronda Rousey will defeated Natalya by submission.
Braun Strowman will face five men picked by MVP and make quick work of them, an will repeatedly powerslam MVP to send a message.
In the night’s main event, GUNTER will successfully defend the Intercontinental Championship against Rey Mysterio.
This is the match we’re most looking forward to, but GUNTHER winning feels more academic than anything else. Rey’s had a great run, but GUNTHER’s being booked as a monster.
Despite knowing what’s going to happen, we’re looking forward to the show for a few reasons, one of which is to see if Zayn gets anyone to break character again, and it’s going to be fun seeing Baszler returning to a dominant force in the ring.
She’s been booked in an odd way over the last year or so with her appearing more vulnerable than ever, but with Ronda there lighting a fire under her it’s going to be good to see the Queen of Spades return.
WWE is heading in the right direction under Triple H, and we’ve been enjoying the more consistent storylines as well as him being willing to move on from something that’s not working.
