However, it is not all as it sounds. Before his ban, the ex-President had a massive followers list. Now, after his reinstating on Twitter, he lost most of his followers. He currently has about 2.5 million followers, and he used to have 90+ million.
Will Donald Trump Use Twitter After Elon Musk Unbanned Him?
Donald Trump used Twitter as his main communication tool. He used it like that before he was president, while he was in office, as well as after that. However, there is one thing that he did not realize at the time. Or maybe he did, and he intentionally used it that way. He had a very big influence on his followers. Donald Trump moved markets, influenced millions, changed opinions, and even organized mass events via Twitter. That’s why he received the ban in the first place.
This Saturday, after Elon Musk’s poll, Twitter decided to bring Donald Trump to social media, and give him his platform back.
“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated.” – Elon Musk tweeted after the final results of the poll have been revealed. “Vox Populi, Vox Dei”
Last week, Donald Trump announced his plans for running for president once again. However, he announced one more thing. He will not come back to Twitter.
“I don’t see any reason for it.” – ex-President Donald Trump said about his coming back on Twitter. “I do like him… you know, he’s a character and again, I like characters.” – Trump told about Musk. “He did put up a poll and it was very overwhelming… but I have something called… Truth Social.”
However, he might change his mind in a short time. On Truth social media, Donald Trump has only 4.5 million followers. On Twitter, he had 90 million. Now, only hours after his unbanning, he is back at 83 million followers.
Donald Trump is on Truth Social media since he his banning on Twitter. He uses Truth Social media to promote allies, criticizing opponents, and express his political views publicly.
He acknowledged the Twitter poll on Truth social media and even encouraged people to vote for his return. But, he did assure people that he won’t be leaving Truth Social.
“Vote now with positivity, but don’t worry, we aren’t going anywhere. Truth Social is special! They have a lot of problems on Twitter. You see what’s going on. It may make it, it may not make it, but the problems are incredible.”
