If you want a title match with AEW All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy, you only need to ask. QT Marshall had tried to get the attention of Cassidy for weeks now, trying to injure Danhausen with piledrivers – but he never thought of asking. He’d finally do that on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, and now tonight has a chance to win singles gold in AEW in a Lumberjack match. Best Friends, The Factory, WWE alumni Kevin Thorne, and more will be at ringside to keep the wrestlers in the ring – and with that many bodies around, chaos is ensured.
Orange Cassidy Enters Another Title Defense
OC would pick up speed as soon as this match began, leaping over Marshall and sending him to the floor with a dropkick. Best Friends rolled him right back in – before Marshall sent OC to the floor. The Lumberjacks were thrown off their game by some low kicks, before Marshall would come out to get OC – and got rammed into the barricade.
OC would come off the top rope with a crossbody, which Marshall caught into a backbreaker. Again to the floor – OC was down in front of Matt Hardy, with Ethan Page trying to demand Hardy stomps the champion and his rule was defied, and they’d head to the back. OC was thrown to the floor in front of Kevin Throne, Nate Webb, and The Varsity Athletes.
Back in the ring, Marshall would hit a backbreaker – before some clubbing blows to the back of OC. Some mounted punches would follow, before OC would be thrown to the apron. He’d lure Marshall in and slam his face off the corner, before avoiding a running splash and catching Marshall with a falling elbow drop.
Kip Sabian Takes Aim At Orange Cassidy, House Of Black vs. Everybody
The Factory would hit the ring, with Trent & Chuck taking them out. The QT Special would land in the ring, before a suplex was blocked into the Stundog Millionaire. Tornado DDT was nearly countered into the Diamond Cutter, before OC looked for the Beach Break. Marshall was able to block before taking a massive Tornado DDT.
Danhausen would curse Marshall as he tried for a piledriver on the apron, before a lumberjack brawl happened. Beach Break on the apron would follow, before OC would dive onto the Lumberjack Pile. All but Brandon Cutler would vanish from ringside, with Penelope Ford hitting the ring. This allowed Kip Sabian to shove OC off the top rope into a Diamond Cutter for a two count.
Marshall would try for another Diamond Cutter only to take the Orange Punch and Beach Break for the finish. OC would dive onto Sabian after the bell, and I think we know the next challenger. A brawl with lumberjacks in the ring was interrupted by House of Black, who took everyone down.
