‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to kick off and new week and a new year in style with some freshly pressed spoilery goodies.
While it’s a new year, it’s some of the same old storytelling with a couple of new twists to help this character building episode plant some seeds. Let’s get to the spoilers!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, January 2: Victor the fireman
Once again, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will try to impose his will on his children as he’ll try to fix the damage done in Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)’s relationship.
Of course, he’ll lay all of the blame on Nick for daring to date Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) after Adam tossed her aside like the other Newmans did, but this time he may take a gentler approach.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers doubt it’ll be much of an effort before he starts blustering or manipulating everyone to get his way, but at least he’ll try.
In the end, he still won’t accept any of the blame for his role in fostering division in his children, just like he’ll never accept that not everyone will get along.
This will be another frustrating failure on his part, and it should be pretty interesting to see how it plays out despite the copy and paste approach.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, January 2: Sharon faces her demons
We’re curious what Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will do in this episode, but it looks like she’s going to deal with having lost so much over the years.
Whether it’s her mortality or that of those around her, she’s going to face those memories and deal with her own emotions and any problems they may be causing her.
This will be a tough scene, but it’ll be a good one and will help her character let go and grow from what she’s lost.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, January 2: Nervous energy
It’s been a long road, but it looks like it’s nearing its end for Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
They’ll be waiting for the phone call that could alter their lives forever, and after several attempts, we think this will be the one that works out for them to kick off the start of a new year.
While we’ll undoubtedly hear much the same dialogue from before, we’re looking forward to seeing how they handle their nervous energy and what crafts they’ve been up to to keep busy.
