Maren Morris has defended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in response to all the criticism they have received for their docuseries.

The couple have already been accused on numerous counts of disrespecting the firm. The Duchess was called out for mocking Queen Elizabeth II as she reenacted an over-the-top curtsy she had to do.
In addition, it has been suggested that docuseries has worsened relations with the firm forever. But as part of that process, it has led to an atmosphere of hate, which Maren was against.
In her comments, she said: “This profound hatred and annoyance at Meghan Markle specifically — mostly coming from women, I have to say — it’s unfathomable to me.”
Morris proclaimed that she would be binging on the series and then spoke about a few historic royal occasions, including King Edward VIII’s abdication in 1936.
She then went on to explain that Queen Elizabeth ll’s uncle had to leave the royal family because they refused to accept his relationship with his partner Wallis Simpson, who had been divorced.
Although those comparisons may be there, there are additional factors at play here. Meghan’s controversial interviews with Oprah and The Cut have not helped herself.
The former interview coincided with the deterioration of Prince Philip’s health. Meanwhile, the latter coincided with the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.
And with the docuseries following shortly after Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, Meghan has only shot herself in the foot. The response on social media, though, was mixed.
While a certain subset backed what Maren had to say, others accused her of being too gullible. And in the process of doing so, they slammed her with brutal comments.
One person wrote: “She truly doesn’t know when to stfu,” while another person stated: “Maren should smarten up.” It is fair to say that Maren’s comments did not go down well.
