The Liver King controversy and the revelation of his drug use opened up the steroid debate for numerous celebrities. Joe Rogan, the host of the most popular podcast on the planet took a dig at Dwayne Johnson, the Rock, right after commenting on the Liver King story.
The podcaster had Derek from MorePlatesMoreDates as his guest in a recent episode of his podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience. The duo discussed fitness, and steroid use among celebrities. As soon as the topic was brought up by Joe Rogan, they started commenting on several world-famous actors and their physiques. While they rumored which of the celebrities might have used steroids, Joe Rogan came out with a claim that the Rock is not ‘natural’.
Joe Rogan Calls Out Dwayne The Rock Johnson For Steroid Use
Derek from MorePlatesMoreDates is somewhat of an expert on ousting celebrities that use steroids but refuse to confess. According to him, the list of celebrities is fairly long. Joe Rogan on the other hand is a steroid user himself who doesn’t shy off from speaking openly about his steroid use. Coupled together, they consider themselves able to tell with a certain accuracy if someone is a steroid user.
Derek fueled the conversation by pointing out that there is an old story where Dwayne Johnson confesses his steroid use. However, the Rock makes a claim that he used it back when he was 18 or 19 years old. According to him, he never touched the stuff after this one try early in his career. Ever since he has been natural.
Joe Rogan immediately opposed the claim and called it BS. He asked Jamie to show photos of the Rock, dating back from the start of his career. Then, he asked for a comparison of his physique from back then and now to be done, claiming that the obvious improvement in his physique is due to steroid use.
“There’s no way you can look like that, in your 40s. The Rock should come clean right now. He should make a video in response to the Liver King video.” – Joe Rogan claims. “I need to talk to you because the Rock’s been lying. There’s not a f-king chance in hell he’s clean. Not a chance in hell. As big as the Rock is, at 50? He’s so massive, and he’s so different than he was when he was 30.
There’s a responsibility you have to people who are listening to you. If you don’t want to talk about it, that’s one thing. But if you do talk about it, there’s a responsibility you have to people listening to you and I think you have to be honest about it, which is why I’m honest about it. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with taking hormone replacement.”
