For many fans, Kevin Owens has been the bright spot in WWE over the past few years. One of the hardest working men in the industry today, Owens has been able to find himself in main event roles – even working a match against Stone Cold Steve Austin in Texas. However, his links to Adam Cole & The Young Bucks in AEW have fans speculating where Owens will go when his current WWE contract is up – and Owens has now tried to shut those rumours down.
Kevin Owens Has Two Years Left On WWE Contract, Intends To Sign Another
While appearing The Ringer’s “Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, Kevin Owens would have a chance to speak on his current WWE contract – letting fans know how long is left, and his intentions to sign another when it’s through.
“So now, I have two years left on my current contract, and I don’t see another reason why I wouldn’t sign another one when it’s done because I don’t feel like I’m anywhere near done, but who knows what can happen, right? But at this stage in my career, I just really want to have fun and make sure I’m still putting out memorable stuff for people that are watching, but man, I look back at the career I had and if it all ended tomorrow, it would be hard to have any kind of regrets because I’ve really done some incredible stuff. I’ve been very lucky to do what I’ve done and like I said, every other show, every other thing I get to experience is a bonus because I’m not really sure how I can have a better career than I’ve had already. That’s not me tapping myself on the back. I’m just saying I’ve been very fortunate.”
Owens Has No Reason To Be Upset With His Treatment By WWE
When Owens signed his current deal, there was serious speculation about him leaving to join AEW – only for Owens to turn around and call WWE his second family. While some have legitimate gripes with how WWE has treated them, Owens has been able to consistently find himself in big spots with very consistent TV time.
Under both Vince McMahon & Triple H, he’s found his role as a utility player, and someone who can rise up at a moments notice to the main event. Right now, there are plans for Owens to wrestle Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at Royal Rumble 2023. He’s currently feuding with The Bloodline, having fought against them at Survivor Series: WarGames in November.
