Right now, the RAW Women’s division in WWE is one of the best in North America. With the likes of Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Bayley, Iyo Sky & Becky Lynch around – it’s got talent for days. However, one who might stand above all else when all is said and done is Rhea Ripley. The 26 year old Australian native is one of the most popular wrestlers in the company, currently aligned with Finn Balor, Damien Priest & Dominik Mysterio in The Judgement Day. When it comes to big matches in her future – she is looking forward to a proper match with Becky Lynch.
Rhea Ripley Is Looking Forward To A Singles Match With Becky Lynch
While speaking on the November 30th episode of The Bump, Rhea Ripley would be asked about a potential match against the recently returned Becky Lynch. Ripley had the following to say.
“I’m really looking forward to it. Becky is someone that I had a match with in NXT, and it didn’t finish with a conclusion. It finished with Shayna and the girls coming out and ruining that match for me. She’s always been someone that I feel I could like a televised match with and it’d be competitive. So every time I get to step in the ring, I’m looking forward to it, and I want that one on one interaction. I want that match. I’m hoping that one day, it will happen, and ‘Mami’ is gonna put ‘The Man’ down,”
Ripley met Lynch at Survivor Series as part of the women’s WarGames match – where Lynch got the win by hitting a leg drop off the top of the cage to Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky. Lynch & Ripley had a brief encounter in the match, which mainly served to get fans excited about a potential one on one match between them. Right now, it seems like Ripley will be going after RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, and should she win – Lynch would be a logical first challenger for Ripley. WWE will likely save this match for PPV.
