Over the past few years, we’ve seen a handful of women step up in a big way in WWE. The likes of Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Bianca Belair show they can carry the division into the future, and are already influencing the next generation of names. Right now, Bianca Belair runs Monday Nights – but perhaps this was only because Rhea Ripley was injured.
Rhea Ripley Wants Her Title Back
While speaking with USA Insider, Rhea Ripley would make her intentions with the RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair crystal clear. Ripley would have the following to say.
“I want my title back. That moment was me saying, ‘I’m coming for you, Bianca.’ Especially because before I got injured, I was the number one contender and then everything slipped out of my grasp. But I’ve got the championship in my sights, that’s the message I was sending on Monday.”
Bianca Belair Is Finishing Up With Damage CTRL With WarGames
Ripley was set to face Belair for the RAW Women’s Championship back in June at Money In The Bank, but injury forced Ripley out of the ring for several months. During that time she would remain on TV, as a key member of The Judgement Day – with Ripley corrupting Dominik Mysterio, and injuring Beth Phoenix.
Right now, it will be tricky for Ripley to get a title shot – as Belair remains in a feud with Damage CTRL – with her set to team with Asuka & Alexa Bliss against the faction at Survivor Series: WarGames. It’s possible she would team up with Damage CTRL and enter WarGames, where she could look to pin the champion and secure her shot.
They previously competed against each other in WarGames during their time in NXT, where Ripley would get the win with only Candice LeRae to back her up. Ripley also defeated Belair in a singles match over the NXT Women’s Championship back in 2020.
How will Rhea Ripley earn her title shot? Will she be the one to end the dominant reign of Bianca Belair? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
