When AEW originally signed former two time Ring of Honor World Champion RUSH, fans didn’t know how to react. Stories of RUSH being hard to work with in ROH and his tendency to try to politic himself into strong positions followed him, and would overshadow his excellent in-ring work. However, now that time has passed and fans have gotten a chance to see what RUSH is capable of in AEW, he’s been accepted as one of the company’s best heel’s – and is unlikely to be going anywhere.
RUSH Has Given Maximum Effort In AEW
While speaking with Lucha Libre Online, RUSH would have a chance to open up about his time in AEW so far. RUSH had the following to say.
“Honestly, I am fascinated, in awe, and happy in AEW. There had not been that many opportunities, but I have given it my maximum efforts in those chances. I’ve been there for 6 months and I’ve done a lot with LFI. La Facción Ingobernable has arrived to ass-whoop and make a full group of cabrones. Everyone knows RUSH goes wherever there is the best offer & where they will treat me like a real Ingobernable.
I won’t brag, as I am still learning & preparing myself. I know the United States is an entirely different world and that you cannot just be a wrestler. You need to get the microphone & know how to speak English, and that’s what I am doing. The White Bull RUSH is quality everywhere he goes & the entire AEW audience knew when RUSH stepped in. They are still being surprised because the work put in talks for itself,”
Right now, RUSH is serving a storyline suspension following an attack on AR Fox & Blake Christian following a tag team match at ROH Final Battle 2022. He’s expected to return to the ring for AEW soon, but most recently wrestled at AAA Gira Aniversario XXX down in Mexico. With Andrade injured, RUSH is the leader of La Faccion Ingobernable, currently containing Preston Vance and Dralistico.
