There are issues with NXT that I really believe will be fixed by the end of next year. One of the many issues that they have is a lack of experience throughout the roster. While they do have an overflow of talent, I think that some established wrestlers would really benefit NXT’s mostly young core.
Jacob Fatu (Currently Signed to MLW)
At 30 years old, I am sure that Jacob Fatu is on WWE’s radar already, especially as someone who is trained by WWE Hall of Famer, Rikishi.
He has great size to him and already have an aggressive character that he knows how to play to perfection. The best part of it is that I think that he is someone who you wouldn’t have to bring in and push him to the moon right away.
I think that he could be around the NXT North American title scene for a while before moving on to the NXT World Championship.
I think that WWE would have a good chance of getting him too. It wouldn’t be hard for Jacob to look at Roman Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso, and Solo Sikoa, and see that HHH knows what he is doing with the Samoans that he got under contract.
Jonathan Gresham (Unsigned)
I know that there are many people that has soured on Jonathan Gresham since he left AEW and ROH. Even I think that he over reacted a little. He has to understand that wrestling is about size and strength for the most part, no matter how much wrestling fans try to change it.
If WWE signed Gresham, which they should, he could be the cornerstone for NXT moving forward for many years to come. I wouldn’t mind Gresham being the focal point of NXT the same way that Adam Cole and Tommaso Ciampa did for so long.
I think that this will keep Gresham happy. As long as he don’t want to get called up and be considered in the world title picture on Raw or Smackdown, I think that he will be fine.
In ring, he is as talented as anyone there is in the business but as far as his mic work, it is his biggest downfall combined with his height.
Alexander Hammerstone (Currently Signed to MLW)
Another person from MLW that I am sure WWE has their eyes on. He is only 31 years old and has a great look and great in ring work.
He would be someone who in a year or two in NXT, would no doubt be ready for Raw or Smackdown and be looked at as the future of the company. I think that if you can get one of his best friends in MLW, Richard Holliday, to come to NXT with him, you would have a lethal combo for a different reason.
If you don’t watch MLW and know some of the things that has been happening, you don’t know about a little group called The Dynasty. They were very successful, and guess who the members are…
Of course, you have the super talented Alexander Hammerstone, Richard Holliday that has a great look and good mic skills, and someone else that is young, has a great look, and amazing mic skills… MJF.
I think that these two combined with Cody Rhodes might be enough to draw MJF away from AEW and to WWE.
